The oenologist at Vega Sicilia was Mariano García from 1968-1998, who today looks after the wines of the Aalto, Mauro and San Román wineries, since 1998 Xavier Ausas López de Castro has been responsible for the entire spectrum of Vega Sicilia (Único, Valbuena, Alion, Pintia).
