Cuvée "S" Le Mesnil Blanc de Blancs 2013 Coffret
On the nose, white flowers, lime blossom, jasmine and bergamot zest form the bouquet, with the classic minerality of Le Mesnil.
The greatness of the terroir is revealed subtly and profoundly. On the palate, it is rich and long, perfectly balanced and restrained in its power.
The warm character of the vintage is palpable, with a good structure and elegant, round flavours of baked apple, roasted hazelnuts and salted butter caramel.
The chalky, delicious finish, supported by a fleeting bubble, bears Salon's signature.
The origin of the wine has the last word: Le Mesnil expresses itself in its blunt, accomplished and finely honed character, while Salon 2013 reveals an unexpected strength.

Salon has been part of the large Laurent-Perrier group since 1989, together with Maison Delamotte.
The Salon company was founded in the 20th century by a fur trader named Aimé Salon Eugène.
Salon Cuvée brut is an extremely rare vintage champagne, produced exclusively in the best vintages.
Only 37 vintages were produced in the 20th century, a unique phenomenon in the wine world.
This is the 44th edition in the 120 years since the Maison Salon was founded and the vintage to which it refers.
As always, Champagne Salon is characterised by the number one: it is the fruit of the spirit of a single man, Aimé Salon,
a single terroir, the Côte des Blancs, a single cru, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, a single grape variety, Chardonnay, and the unique child of a single vintage.
