The Sir Winston Churchill 2002 cuvée pays homage to Churchill's preferences: robust, full-bodied and mature. It is made exclusively from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from selected Grand Cru vineyards that already existed during Churchill's lifetime, and is aged significantly longer than the house's other vintage champagnes. In the glass, it displays an intense gold colour and a fine, lively perlage. On the nose, fresh lime, autolytic notes, lightly toasted brioche, raisins and candied fruit. Powerful and rich on the palate, yet balanced, with aromas of honey and citrus, carried by lively acidity and exceptional length – a great, full-bodied vintage champagne.
