Cabernet Sauvignon "Bin 707" 2016

The winery was founded by the young English doctor Dr. Christopher Rawson Penfold in 1844. As an immigrant, he had some French vines in his luggage and quickly began to plant them.
It was chief winemaker Max Schubert who, from 1951 onwards, switched production to dry table wines based on the French model.
Step by step, the Hermitage Grange was created, which was bottled for the first time in 1955 and soon found its way into the world's wine press with the highest praise.

Description

Bin 707 - the perfect Cabernet Sauvignon fruit; intensely fragrant and varietal with outstanding flavour. This stylish Cabernet is only vinified in the perfect years and is one of the best single-varietal fine wines on the Australian continent. Its colour is deep dark, almost like ink. Fragrant of blackcurrants and mulberries with hints of beans, nut butter ("beurre noisette") and sage. Expressive, even, expansive and mysterious at the same time, it appeals to the palate and enchants the senses.
