This wine presents itself in the glass with a deep, dark purple colour and an intense, complex bouquet of black fruits: cassis, black cherry and plum, accompanied by spicy and earthy notes such as tobacco, leather, smoke and subtle liquorice and graphite minerality. On the palate, the wine is powerful and structured, with lush dark fruit, elegant, velvety tannins and a firm structure supported by mineral freshness and a long, spicy finish. Although it is already impressive as a young wine, it shows great ageing potential: with a little patience, further layers of depth and additional subtle nuances are likely to unfold — ideal with hearty dishes such as braised meat, game or mature cheese.
