WEINGUT ROSI SCHUSTER

Blaufränkisch St.Margarethen 2020

The Blaufränkisch St. Margarethen from the Rosi Schuster winery in the Neusiedlersee-Hügelland region offers intensity, elegance, and a cool structure. It's a dense red wine that doesn't veer into opulence, yet it conveys an incredible mineral character. Notes of berries and herbs take center stage in the Blaufränkisch St. Margarethen. The wine's fine structure and remarkable length create a memorable and lingering enjoyment.

Description

Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent are Rosi Schusters primary grape varieties, comprising approximately 75 percent of the total production of 50,000 bottles. Grapes from over 50-65-year-old vines grown on sandy and calcareous soils are carefully harvested, their juice spontaneously fermented, and then matured in large wooden casks for 20 months. The result is an impressively magnificent and harmonious drinking experience.

Nose: Intensely herbal-spiced sour cherry fruit with a hint of cranberries, fresh orange zest, tobacco undertones, and a distinct animalic note. Bright ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate rim lightening in the glass.
Mouth: On the palate, it's elegant, highly precise, and clearly structured, showcasing delicate red forest berry flavors, freshness, subtle mineral notes, already well-developed, finishing with fresh cherries and a subtle lemony touch.
Serving Recommendation: Serve at 15 - 17°C.
Grape Variety: 100% Blaufränkisch
