There are actually two vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin called Clos Prieur. The Village part of the vineyard is called "Clos Prieur Bas" and is correspondingly lower. The Premier Cru "Clos Prieur Haut", on the other hand, is located above the Village and borders on the Grand Cru Les Mazis.
