Chateau Latour

Chateau Latour 1990

Château Latour is located in the extreme southeast of the commune of Pauillac in the suburb of St. Lambert on the border with Saint-Julien, in the Médoc region, northwest of the city of Bordeaux. Only about three hundred metres to the east is the Gironde estuary where the Garonne and Dordogne rivers meet. The old Pauillac estate is one of the 5 estates (Médoc) to have been raised to the rank of Premier Grand Cru in the famous 1855 classification. Chateau Latour is now owned by François Pinault's holding company. The 78 ha vineyard rests on an excellent terroir and is planted with 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
