Riesling Smaragd Singerriedel 2013

The expressiveness of a wine is created in the vineyard. Careful care of the vines, short pruning, intensive foliage work, strict yield control and rigorous selection are essential for this.
Manual harvesting in several passes per vineyard ensures that only grapes with the highest physiological ripeness are harvested and sent to the cellar for processing. There, the musts are fermented in steel tanks until they come to a natural standstill in accordance with the Codex Wachau quality promise. Further ageing takes place partly in large traditional wooden barrels.

Description

Medium yellow-green colour, silver reflections, intense yellow tropical fruit on the nose, a hint of passion fruit, fine white vineyard peach, a hint of blossom honey and mandarin zest, juicy on the palate, good complexity, silky texture, fine acidity, pleasant fruit sweetness, yellow stone fruit nuances on the finish, still shows some baby fat, certainly ageing potential.
