Dom Perignon

Plenitude P2 2003

Dom Pérignon champagne owes its name to the famous monk and procurator of Hautvillers Abbey in 1668, Pierre Pérignon (known as Dom Pérignon). Legend has it that Pierre Pérignon discovered what is now known as the "méthode champenoise". The anecdote says that he taught this method to the Benedictine Thierry Ruinart in 1669, which enabled Ruinart to make history as the first Champagne house in 1729. Since 1 January 2019, Vincent Chaperon has succeeded Richard Geoffroy as Chef de Caves of Dom Pérignon.

Description

The fruity and slightly smoky elegance of oysters underlines the precise, intense and lively character of this Plénitude P2 2003 from Dom Pérignon. The flavourful combination of ham with the iodine character and aromatic class of caviar unfolds the immediate and precise freshness of this vintage. Combined with the sweetness and acidity of passion fruit, the taste of this exceptional champagne is remarkably intense.
