Meursault "Vieilles Vignes" 2022

organic

Nestled in the charming northern corner of Meursault, the vineyard neighbors a prestigious Premier Cru site. Here, with an average vine age of 35 years, our vines bask in the region's rich heritage. Every grape is lovingly hand-picked, then gently crushed, setting the stage for a slow and graceful fermentation in oak barrels. Patiently maturing on its lees, the wine undergoes a transformation before finally gracing the bottle after 14 months of meticulous care and craftsmanship.

Description

From Savigny-lès-Beaune to the charming villages of Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault, and Vosne-Romanée, the domain Seguin has grown since 2005, tending to over 8 hectares of vineyards. The wines elegantly marry clay and limestone, coming mostly from the Meursault area.

Nose: On the nose, it shows fresh fruit aromas enhanced by hazelnut and vanilla notes. Pale gold colour in the glass.
Tongue:  Powerful and lively, it develops pure and clean fruit aromas mingled with flinty nuances and fine oak notes. It is well-balanced and shows a lot of finesse. Long on the finish.
Pairing recommendation:  To be enjoyed for apéritif, with sea fish with a citrus sauce or with a soft cheese (Cîteaux). Serve at 11 - 13°C.
