WEINGUT PRAGER
Immerse yourself in the allure of Ried Klaus, the lower section of the Achleiten vineyard, perched like a curved mound above the Danube. Thanks to its unique microclimate and wind direction, this vineyard remains consistently free from botrytis. Geologically distinct from Achleiten, the lean soil of Prager's estate provides intriguing conditions for Riesling. The loose gneiss soil, baked at relatively cool temperatures, allows the roots to penetrate deep, imparting a distinctive expressiveness to the Riesling – perhaps the most captivating variation among most Rieslings in the Wachau.
