Meinls Greek Macchia Honey from Mount Athos

Mount Athos honey is produced on the east coast of the holy Mount Athos in Megali Jovannitsa. The large forests consisting of acacia, lime and chestnut trees on the one hand and the extensive areas where wild herbs such as lavender, rosemary, thyme, sage and mint thrive on the other provide enough space for the busy bees and the excellent quality of the honey, as no sprays are used on the holy mountain Athos. The variety of woods and flowers provides a gentle floral, fruity and spicy aroma that distinguishes this honey.
