DANIEL GANTENBEIN

Pinot Noir Graubünden AOC 2022

Fine and powerful, refined and concentrated, delicate and complex. Harmony and contrast. Is this Grantenbein's Pinot Noir? Mais oui!

This Pinot Noir is racy, flavoursome, exciting. It is fine, at the same time it is a real flavour spectacle, classic with lots of fresh fruit, ideally balanced with the wonderful extract sweetness. The Pinot Noir from Gantenbein was matured in oak barrels and is one of the great wines of Switzerland.

Description

A deep Pinot flavour straight out of a picture book. In the middle of the Rhine Valley in Graubünden, near Fläsch, the Gantenbein winery has been producing exceptional wines since 1982. With a focus on quality, Martha and Daniel Gantenbein planted Burgundy clones in their vineyards and produce just three wines, including a Pinot Noir that is one of the best in Switzerland. It delights with a deliciously sweet, finely structured palate, enormous complexity and tannins of the highest quality, which support the wine perfectly.

Nose: Wonderful terroir notes. Aromas of cassis, strawberries, cherries, peaches, vanilla, tobacco, dark chocolate, cloves, undergrowth, orange zest, cinnamon, almonds, smoked meat, roses and elderberry.
Palate: Concentrated and at the same time extremely elegant, deeply mineral, with a fresh character, endlessly complex, silky, juicy, precise fruit, a salty note, finely spiced, incredibly clear and gripping, with enormous potential and an almost endlessly long finish.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir

Origin: Switzerland / Rhine Valley of Graubünden
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
