It is made from 100% Hungarian paprika, which is smoked over beech wood after drying and then stone-ground. This creates an intense, smoky aroma with a pleasant heat, as well as a deep red colour. The spice is ideal for goulash, stews, barbecued dishes, marinades and classic Hungarian dishes, lending them a distinctive, slightly smoky depth of flavour.
