Syrah is one of the winemaker's favorite grape varieties, alongside Blaufränkisch. These grapes require a long ripening period extending into late autumn to fully mature. The sandy soil of the Seeberg retains warmth even in the autumn sun, imparting the wine with a beautiful fruitiness and the varietal's characteristic cool nose.
