The Steinzeiler, named after the stony, calcareous soils on the southern slopes of the Leithagebirge, is produced from vines that have thrived there for 2800 years. This powerful red wine combines elegance and charm, crafted from old selections of the finest Blaufränkisch from the Point and Setz vineyards, along with small portions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zweigelt. It pairs perfectly with game dishes, dark meats, and cheese. Younger vintages should be decanted before enjoying.
