This Chardonnay is characterized by light fruit aromas; when matured in wooden barrels, buttery, roasted and extract-rich notes emerge. The vineyards behind Spitz Castle as the foothills of the Burgberg are known as Ried Schlossgarten. Here the grapes ripen on loamy soil. The 2023 vintage is extremely accessible with precise and ripe fruit. The acidity is well integrated, harmonious and gives the wine a solid structure. A promising vintage with potential for longer storage.
