Weingut Gesellmann
Cuvée made from 95% Blaufränkisch and 5% St. Laurent, the grapes come from old vines that are up to 80 years old. The traditional mash fermentation and subsequent maceration lasts 50 days in open double barrels. The wine then matures for 40 months in the same small oak barrels. Dark ruby garnet, opaque core, incredible elegance in the nose, fine precious wood spices, vanilla, herbs, dark sour cherries, blackberry confit and tobacco nuances. Complex and powerful on the palate, extract-sweet dark fruit texture, perfectly integrated tannins, salty-mineral finish, some cassis in the aftertaste, lingers for a long time.
