This wine appears deep dark in the glass – almost black with violet reflections and a dense, concentrated colour. The nose develops intense aromas of cassis, blackcurrants, plums and ripe dark fruits, accompanied by noble spice notes, a hint of incense, fine cedar wood and hints of liquorice and mineral undertones. On the palate, the wine is powerful and dense, with compact fruit and a pronounced structure: the black fruits combine with fine-grained, ripe tannins and perfectly integrated acidity. The body is full and elegant at the same time, the finish long and complex with a spicy, slightly smoky finish carried by dark fruit and earth. Despite its concentration, the wine shows a remarkable balance between power, finesse and freshness and has enormous ageing potential.
