It has a generous bouquet with scents of blackberry, briary, a touch of sandalwood and tobacco, gaining more precision as it aerates in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, certainly one of the most finessed Gruaud Larose in recent years, with perfectly judged acidity.

Gruaud Larose:
Gruaud Larose is located on the Saint-Julien plateau. The beautiful château is owned by Jacques Merlaut, who brought sophisticated high-tech equipment with him. All data about the 66 plots (approx. 100 hectares in total) is stored, so that the use of chemical pesticides only has to be carried out very precisely and in a reduced manner. The estate has its own weather station, a state-of-the-art drainage system and the wines are stored in air-conditioned cellars. Gruaud Larose is an example of how terroir, technique, oenological skills, commitment and strict selection lead to consistently high quality. The wines are less rustic than in the 70s, more powerful and elegant at the same time.
