The Blason d'Issan, a second wine of 2018, was introduced in 1995 to select among the vineyards in the Margaux area. Utilizing the fruits of younger vines, this wine respects the identity of its terroir while delivering a tasty, rounded fruitiness. Aged for 14 to 16 months in barrels, one-third of which are new.

A rainy winter and a slightly above-average spring were followed by a splendid return of sunshine at the end of June, resulting in a good and homogeneous flowering. The tranquil and handpicked harvest from September 24th to October 11th yielded generous, crisp grapes. The Château d'Issan 2018 is intense and refined, offering a magnificent palate entry thanks to the precision of the Merlot component.
