THE ILEACH
An Islay-Dram as it is written in the book. Peat, smoke, more peat, more smoke and a little seaweed, very little fruit aromas and vanilla and caramel hidden somewhere. The Ileach is a young and peaty single malt from an unnamed Islay distillery, available in 40%vol. and Cask Strength (58%vol.) expressions.
Which distilleries supply malt for the island blend is a secret, however. But the possibilities can be narrowed down somewhat by means of the exclusion procedure...
Some claim that Ileach Whisky contains Lagavulin... or Caol Ila... but we don't know for sure. Ileach Whisky is and remains a mystery malt and probably only a handful of people know where this characterful islander comes from.
