Sauvignon blanc is an old variety in Burgenland. It makes special demands on its location. It thrives excellently on poor flinty soils - flint, silex. It finds this soil at Steinmühle and produces expressive, distinctive wines here in combination with the Pannonian climate of Burgenland. The Sauvignon blanc is propagated only from a handful of own vines to ensure its high quality unaltered. The aromas of this Sauvignon range from bell peppers to elderflower and passion fruit.
