Sandy loamy soils, with small humus deposits and shell limestone, which spreads over the soils like a carpet, form the basis of the soil composition. Due to the heat-storing limestones, there is a continuously warm microclimate, which is especially beneficial to the late-ripening variety Cabernet Sauvignon.
