The choice of name – Sapaia, an ancient Tuscan variety – reflects a strong connection with the territory. Bolgheri Superiore Sapaio di Podere Sapaio is born in vineyards located in the area between Castagneto Carducci and Bibbona, in the heart of the extraordinary panorama of Bolgheri. Podere Sapaio wines are the perfect expression of the terroir thanks to their style and elegance.
The wines are made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes, which are harvested only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine is then aged for 18 months in barriques and a further 12 months in bottles before being released to the market.

Ingredients & Allergens
Nose: opens with a bouquet of red fruits with aromas of berries, plums and blackcurrants. It is characterised by an intense ruby red colour.
Tongue: intense and round, pleasantly full-bodied and soft. The wine has velvety tannins.
Pairing recommendation: Perfect with dishes with meat sauce, risotto and game. Ideal in combination with roasts, braised meats and mature cheeses. Serve at 16 - 18°C.
Grape variety: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon / 10% Cabernet Franc / 20% Petit Verdot
Origin: Italy / Toskana
Alcohol content: 14,5% vol.
