Deep red, almost black in the glass, the Phelan Segur offers a multi-faceted world of aromas. Very typical for the appellation, powerful, dark fruit and berry notes predominate, joined by sweet spices, as well as spicy notes of damp earth, truffle and leather. These notes also set the tone in the mouth, led by an expressive tannin structure and very long on the finish. Lots of fruit, lots of muscle, this is indeed an impressive classic - even without official classification.
