Chateau Palmer

Vin Blanc de Palmer 2018

Château Palmer in Margaux, Médoc, is a renowned wine estate ranked as a third growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. It consistently stands among the region's best wines. Unlike typical Médoc blends, Château Palmer combines Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a touch of Petit Verdot, for a fleshy and generous structure. Enjoyable when young, it also rewards long cellaring.

Owning Château Palmer in the early 20th century had its perks, including the production of private white wine barrels. This tradition continued until the late 1930s, ending with the outbreak of war. In the late 1990s, a remarkable find occurred in the estate's cellars: two bottles of Vin Blanc de Palmer from 1925. Inspired by this rediscovery, Muscadelle, Sauvignon Gris, and Loset vines were reintroduced by the early 2000s. Thus, in 2007, Vin Blanc de Palmer was reborn.

Unprecedented. From December to July, incessant rains fueled mildew development. However, the vines, during a hot, dry summer, channeled all their energy into the remaining grapes, resulting in exceptional power and concentration. In the winery, this extraordinary outcome led to an unprecedented decision: every lot would be chosen for the blending of Château Palmer... An extraordinary vintage.
