Weissburgunder Der Wein vom Stein 2018

Weissburgunder Der Wein vom Stein 2018

When Ludwig Neumayer decided to continue his parents' farm as a winery in the 1980s, the Traisental winegrowing region did not exist. Together with his brother Karl, he had big plans: he wanted to tell the story of his vines, to give the wine individuality and virtuosity. As a result, it did not take long for the humble Traisental to find itself in reviews by Robert Parker, Decanter and other renowned publications thanks to Ludwig and Karl Neumayer - the beginning of an improbable success story.

Light greenish yellow, silver reflections. The nose is filled with fine yellow pome fruit nuances, which combine with hints of quince and apple. In addition, a hint of walnut and blossom honey. On the palate, this Pinot Blanc from Ludwig Neumayer in the Traisental is both juicy and underscored by a creamy texture. Pears and a fine fruit sweetness are accompanied by a well-integrated acid structure. Lingers long and has enormous future potential.
