Strong ruby garnet, delicate ochre reflections, discreet rim brightening. Fine herbal spice, black berries, a hint of juniper, sloes, dark cherries, some graphite, multi-faceted bouquet. Taut, elegant, ripe red cherries, some sea buckthorn, elegant tannin dress, good freshness, mineral-salty finish, spicy-citric, good length, seems light on its feet.

Blaufränkisch is a red grape variety that is mainly cultivated in Austria, where it can be traced back to the 18th century. The main cultivation area in Austria is the Mittelburgenland. Hardly any grape variety better reflects its origin. For this reason, the Mittelburgenland is also called Blaufränkischland.
