Description

Roland Velich makes wines from the Blaufränkisch grape variety at his Moric winery, which was founded in 2001, and which above all unmistakably show one thing: their origin, Burgenland. As the youngest province, today's Burgenland, before that as German West Hungary, was an essential part of great wine culture, from which the most expensive and famous wines in the world came. Renunciation of any kind of fining and filtration and ageing in large wooden barrels give rise to wines that did not exist in this form in Austria before and receive hymn-like applause, especially abroad.
