The Laphroaig PX Cask was initially matured in American ex-bourbon casks and smaller quarter casks before being matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. This bottling thus represents the distillery's first bottling in PX casks. The finish gives the whisky an enormous complexity and an elegant sherry aroma.

Laphroaig is a whisky distillery on the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay. The distillery buildings are listed as Category C in the Scottish Heritage Lists. Laphroaig is owned by the Japanese-American Beam Suntory group.
Nose: Golden with sultanas and hints of liquorice, tang and peat. With a little water, marzipan comes to the fore which combines with almonds and nuts to create a sweet melange.
Palate: Peat and sherry with a hint of smoke resulting in sultanas and nutty notes.
Finish: Concentrated sherry notes with peat and a deep dryness.Origin: Scotland
