Nose: A sea breeze filled with a delicate floral bouquet wafts through before the beauty of young, clean Bruichladdich emerges with crisp sweet apple, ripe gooseberry and peach. Malted barley brings brown sugar and toffee, while toasted oak background flavors are quiet and restrained, letting the malt and spirit shine. Butterscotch, spice and creamy custard give further hints of the tremendous quality of the barrels filled with this precious spirit.
Palate: The texture is muscular and rich, the natural oils gently coaxed from the grain soften the spice to reveal its character, its young, clean, fresh charm.
