Highland Park Valfather

Highland Park

Highland Park Valfather

Highland Park is considered the most northerly distillery in Scotland and uses only island peat to dry the grain. The peat itself contains a lot of heather and the partial storage in sherry casks gives the whisky its colour and taste. The storage takes place in warehouses by the sea. This gives the whisky a lot of rough sea air and the cool temperatures and the relatively woodless peat form the starting point for the later whisky.

This exquisite whisky is dedicated to the supreme god Odin and, with an alcohol content of 47 per cent, is the strongest malt in the range. It is also the peatiest whisky from Highland Park and the range, which will please fans of smoky malts. The Valfather impresses with its light golden hue and its aroma of fresh apples and sweet pears. It tastes wonderfully round like creamy vanilla cream with toasted cedar and fiery paprika with a harmonious and long finish with notes of smoke and fresh fruits.
