Description

Aged in small oak barrels, the Eichkogel combines the spicy berry fruit of the Blaufränkisch with the velvety of the Zweigelt.
The Eichkogel goes perfectly with strong meat dishes such as lamb and steak. Younger vintages should be opened or decanted a few hours before drinking.
Dark purple ruby; full, ripe berry fruit; ripe, strong tannins; punchy, juicy and long on the palate; perfect drinking pleasure but also potential for further aging.
