Pinot Noir 2018

Dog Point

Pinot Noir 2018

Dog Point is one of the best wineries in New Zealand. The winery reliably produces excellent quality wine year after year. The owners and founders have learned their craft. Ivan Sutherland and James Healy have already helped make Cloudy Bay what it is today: one of the most famous wine brands in the world. James Healy was oenologist there for 12 years. Ivan Sutherland oversaw Cloudy Bay's vineyards for 18 years. After Cloudy Bay became the property of Louis Vuitton-Moet-Hennessy, the two started their own winery, Dog Point. Dog Point owns one of Marlborough's oldest private vineyards. Some of the vines date back to the 1970s. They started with grapes from the 80-acre Dog Point vineyard in 2002. In 2004 the first wines followed. To date, there are only four wines: a Sauvignon Blanc, a barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
