Scotch Whisky 18Y

James Chivas' small-scale whisky experiments in the cellar of his grocery shop led to what would later become a thriving business. In 1989, Colin Scott became Master Blender and created what is now Chivas Regal. To produce such a smooth and generous whisky, the company uses the finest ingredients. In the following years, Master Blender Charles Howard and Alexander Smith created the 25-year-old blend that became known as the world's first luxury whisky. The spirits are produced in Strathisla, the oldest distillery in the Scottish Highlands, dating back to 1786. Here, each whisky is given its unique formula of flavour and character.

Description

As a blend, it is a mixture of grain and malt whiskies that are stored in oak casks. Of course, it is not revealed which whiskies are part of the Chivas Regal 18 Years Blended Scotch Whisky, but there are said to be 20 different grains and malts in total. These contribute to a unique taste experience that convinces with flavours of butterscotch, whipped cream and vanilla, among others. Spicy nuances as well as aromas of dried fruits and a hint of oloroso sherry can also be guessed. The Chivas Regal 18 Years Blended Scotch Whisky is thus an all-round mild whisky that knows how to inspire with a pleasant sweetness.
