Saint-Joseph Les Granilites 2019

Saint-Joseph Les Granilites 2019

Michel Chapoutier was just 25 years old when he took over the vineyard, founded in 1808, from his father in 1990 and consistently converted to biodynamic cultivation. Michel Chapoutier believes that great wines are created in the vineyard and not in the cellar. On the one hand, his wines should reflect the terroir in a pronounced way, and on the other hand, they should be excellent food companions. The winery owns plots in the top appellations of the southern and northern Rhône, such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape or Hermitage.

The wine is wrapped in a dense purple with violet reflections and an almost black core. Multi-layered aromas of cherry, redcurrant, floral notes (roses), fine spices, mineral nuances and undergrowth flow from the glass. On the palate, the wine from the Rhône Valley is full-bodied and intense. Beautiful silky tannins are perfectly integrated into the good structure. All components are well balanced.
