Michel Chapoutier was just 25 years old when he took over the vineyard, founded in 1808, from his father in 1990 and consistently converted to biodynamic cultivation. Michel Chapoutier believes that great wines are created in the vineyard and not in the cellar. On the one hand, his wines should reflect the terroir in a pronounced way, and on the other hand, they should be excellent food companions. The winery owns plots in the top appellations of the southern and northern Rhône, such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape or Hermitage.

Description

The wine is made from grapes from 50-year-old vines that come from the slope of the Méal. This slope consists of terraces of shingles and clay.
A deep garnet red with violet highlights. A bouquet of ripe fruit with smoky aromas. The taste is characterised by strong tannins with a velvety blackberry jam at the same time.
Very long ageing potential.
