Description

Michel Chapoutier's pursuit of knowledge and terroir expression forms the basis of M. Chapoutier. Deep-rooted vines in clay, sand, limestone, and marl produce Gigondas, a captivating Old World wine. Hand-harvested grapes undergo careful selection, gentle crushing, and controlled fermentation. After aging on fine lees, the wine is bottled, capturing its true potential. Nose: Expressive notes of blueberries, blackcurrants, blackberries and mulberries.
Tongue: Pressive and complex on the palate, thrills with considerable length. Hints of blackberry and mulberry are evident. In the reverberation mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand and marl added.
Pairing recommendation: Game dishes, of course, to goose, cabbage roulades, stuffed peppers or roasted calf's liver. Serve at 18 - 19°C.
