Ermitage Blanc De l’Oree 2018

M. Chapoutier

Ermitage Blanc De l’Oree 2018

Michel Chapoutier was just 25 years old when he took over the vineyard, founded in 1808, from his father in 1990 and consistently converted to biodynamic cultivation. Michel Chapoutier believes that great wines are created in the vineyard and not in the cellar. On the one hand, his wines should reflect the terroir in a pronounced way, and on the other hand, they should be excellent food companions. The winery owns plots in the top appellations of the southern and northern Rhône, such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape or Hermitage.

Sommelier's recommendation: Foie gras Crayfish, lobster Fish, poultry in sauces White meat Goat cheese, blue cheese Spicy dishes and curry.
The M. Chapoutier presents itself in a radiant, medium-dense yellow with greenish hues. The nose can discover plenty above the glass: a bouquet of fully ripe yellow fruit (peach, apricot), exotic nuances (pineapple, lychee), floral hints (acacia blossom), fine spice (white pepper) and all underpinned with subtle toasted notes. Already with plenty of melt on the lips, this Viognier is round and powerful on the palate with an elegant freshness, nice creaminess and a good balance.
