Chateau Bellevue Figeac
This vineyard is located in the immediate vicinity of the famous Chateau Figeac, on the border with Pomerol. This is not necessarily the worst terroir, one can say casually. The estate has only 5 ha and belongs to the de Coninck family. Here, 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon are planted on calcareous sand/loam. The average age of the vines is an impressive 40 years. The wine is matured in barriques, 55% of which are new. The prices are very fair, after all it is a St. Emilion Grand Cru!
