The Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2011 is an extremely noble vintage champagne from the excellent Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs collection of the famous champagne house Taittinger. The luxurious cuvée was first launched in 1952 and is one of the best champagnes in the world. The premium champagne is produced exclusively in excellent harvest years. It uses 100 per cent Chardonnay grapes from the five Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs in the municipalities of Avize, Cramant, Chouilly, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger. Like many of Taittinger's excellent champagnes, the Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2011, which comes in a 0.75 l bottle with 12.5 % vol., was stored in the old chalk tunnels of the former Benedictine abbey church of Saint-Nicaise in Reims. It was allowed to spend 10 years there, which gave it its exquisite aromas.

The Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2011 is an excellent champagne for special occasions, which should ideally be served at a temperature of 11 °C. It impresses with its wonderful straw-yellow colour, in which golden reflections dance. Its bouquet enchants the nose with almost sensual notes of gingerbread, liquorice and meringue, accompanied by delicate aromas of light fruits such as vineyard peaches as well as hints of mandarin peel and almond nuances. The vintage champagne is powerful and generous on the palate with flavours of candied fruits and gentle tones of coriander and anise with a mineral note. The Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2011 goes particularly well with seafood or shellfish starters and fish.
