Bernhard Ott
The winery has been family-owned since 1889 and has been run by Bernhard Ott in the fourth generation since 1995. Only 22 years young at the time, he took over the estate with a lot of ambition and a head full of ideas. His primary concern is to help Grüner Veltliner achieve even more finesse, fullness and elegance. In the meantime, 90 % of the 16 hectares of vineyards are dedicated to his favourite grape variety. The efforts and vehement implementation of his ideas have paid off, because within a very short time the passionate winemaker has gone from being an insider tip to the star of the Austrian wine scene.

The Rosenberg site can certainly be seen as the flagship of Bernhard Ott's range. Extremely complex on the nose. On the palate, a peacock's wheel of diverse aromas, such as yellow tropical fruits, honeydew melon, ripe pear aromas, but also a hint of freshly cut hay and herbs characterise this wine. The finish is incredibly long and complex.
