Classified as Deuxième Cru in the famous 1855 classification, Chateau Leoville Poyferre has existed since 1840 and has its origins in the early 17th century. Masterfully managed by the Cuvelier family, Château Léoville Poyferré borders famous estate such as Léoville Las Cases and benefits from a terroir known for its lean soils of Garonnaise gravel, ideal for the development of the vineyards. The wines of this famous winery on the Left Bank of Bordeaux captivate with their elegance, depth, balance and power.

Nose: Notes of cassis, dark berries, subtle smoky aromas, leather and herbal spice. Dark color, almost black in the center.
Tongue: Masculine, enormously dense, compact and incredibly young due to the fine tannic acid structure. Fleshy, rich Cabernet aromatics, ripe dark cherries, black blackberries, cassis and meat, beautiful tannin and fresh acidity followed by a finish that lingers in the memory, and not just on the palate!
Pairing recommodation: pairs well with beef, lamb, game (deer, roe deer), poultry. Serve at 16 - 18°C.
