Glenfiddich
For Glenfiddicher's third experiment, Malt Master Brian Kinsman travelled to Canada to visit a renowned winery in the Niagara region. While there, he learned more about the grape harvest that gives icewine its characteristic sweetness.
On his return, Brian began experimenting with different French oak casks of icewine from the Canadian winery and filled them with different Glenfiddich malts. The whiskies were stored in the casks for up to six months. It turned out that only the rare 21-year-old whiskies harmonised with the special ice wine intensity.
The taste is a perfect combination of the outstanding drops: Distinct notes of candied sugar meet spicy oak from Glenfiddich and are complemented by tropical fruits as well as a unique sweetness from the finish in the ice wine casks.

History:
In the summer of 1886, this lifelong dream was finally to come true with the help of his seven sons and two daughters. In just one year, the distillery was built by hand, stone by stone. The name "Glenfiddich" comes from the Gaelic and means "valley of the stags".
William's passion, courage and creative vision are still our guiding principles today. Glenfiddich is one of the last single malt distilleries still entirely family-owned. It is here that the world's most awarded single malt Scotch whisky is created.* Characterised by integrity and a pioneering spirit, carried on from one generation to the next, for 125 years - that is our story.
Colour: Golden
