Doyard Mahe
Grape variety: Pinot Noir The term 'ratafia' has its origin in the 16th century in a linguistic mutation of the Latin 'rata fiat conventio' in the sense of trade. After a satisfactory agreement among businessmen, a 'deal' was afterwards blessed or 'ratified' together with this fortified wine. The colour ranges from copper to amber. The nose is dominated by tones of plums, dried figs, sultanas and nuts. The taste is rich, honey sweet, gourmand and with a spicy finish. Ideal for foie gras, herb cheese or chocolate dessert.
