Cragganmore 12Y

Cragganmore 12Y Speyside Single Malt Whisky
A small distillery in the largest and most famous whisky region of them all in the Scottish Highlands, the name Cragganmore is derived from the Gaelic word for "big rock". The Cragganmore distillery was founded in 1869 by John Smith. It is said that he was the most experienced whisky distiller of his time. Before founding the Cragganmore distillery, he had already managed the Macallan and Glenlivet distilleries and was a tenant of the Glenfarclas distillery.

Cragganmore 12 Years is a single malt Scotch whisky. This means that it is distilled exclusively from malted barley in copper pot stills. The barley for the Cragganmore whiskies has a very low peat content. This whisky probably matures exclusively in ex-bourbon casks for at least 12 years. Its taste is therefore pleasantly fresh, fruity and slightly floral, but without being overbearing. Tasting slightly of malt and vanilla, the whisky is rounded off with a smoky note and provides a sweet finish. There are no superficial, strong flavours. Rather, this malt shines with an elegant balance that has rarely been achieved so well.
