Over two hundred and fifty years ago, the family was able to buy a small plot of land from the Bishop of Avignon. This property has grown over time.
It has grown to 20 hectares around the commune of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. But it was not until 1954 that Lucien Brunel was able to use his vineyards to create the Domaine Les Cailloux, named in honour of the famous "galets roulés"...
In the early 1970s, André Brunel, the son, freed himself from Rhône rules, in particular by abandoning oak barrels in favour of concrete tanks, which favours the purity and freshness of the fruit. Since 2013, he has been joined by his son Fabrice.
